Connect a CGM
Glide gets readings through each maker's own sharing service. On a new account, tap Connect a CGM; on an existing profile, go to Settings → CGM. Only the profile owner connects the CGM. Everyone else joins with an invite code (below).
Dexcom G6, G7 and One (Dexcom Share) full guide
- In the wearer's Dexcom app, turn on Share.
- In Glide, pick Dexcom and enter the wearer's own Dexcom login.
- Pick the Dexcom server: United States, or outside the US. An account exists on only one of them.
A Dexcom Follow login won't work. Only the wearer's account can share readings.
FreeStyle Libre 2, 3 and 3 Plus (LibreLinkUp) full guide
- In the wearer's Libre app, invite a new LibreLinkUp follower made just for Glide.
- Sign in to the LibreLinkUp app with that account once, and accept its terms.
- In Glide, pick Libre and enter that LibreLinkUp login. Glide finds the region itself.
The wearer's own Libre or LibreView login won't work. Glide reads through a LibreLinkUp follower account.
Medtrum EasySense (EasyFollow) full guide
- Make a new EasyFollow account just for Glide.
- From the wearer's EasySense app, invite that account as a follower.
- In Glide, pick Medtrum, enter that EasyFollow login, and pick Europe or France.
The wearer's own EasySense login won't work. Glide reads through a follower account.
Common questions
My glucose chart stopped updating
Glide stops when the maker's sharing service stops. Check, in order:
- The CGM app on the wearer's phone is running and has recent readings.
- Sharing is still on there: Dexcom Share, or the follower invite in the Libre or EasySense app.
- The password of the login you entered in Glide hasn't changed. If it has, enter the new one in Settings → CGM.
Glide shows a banner on the Home screen when it can't sign in ("Can't sign in to Dexcom", and the same for Libre or Medtrum). For Libre, Abbott sometimes holds the readings until someone accepts new terms or verifies the email in the LibreLinkUp app; Glide's banner then names that step. The owner of the follower account has to do it, in LibreLinkUp. A new password in Glide does not help.
I signed in but see no data
A brand-new account is empty by design. Either connect a CGM (above) or join a profile someone already set up: tap I was given an invite code instead, or Settings → Join with an invite code. The profile owner makes the code in Settings → Followers. It works once and expires after one hour.
I'm not getting the sign-in code by email
Codes come from no-reply@glidebg.com within a minute or so. Check your spam folder, and make sure you entered the same address you signed up with. If it still doesn't arrive, email support@glidebg.com from that address.
The wake-up call didn't ring
How the call works, step by step: the lost-signal call.
The wake-up call (Settings → Alerts) needs an active Glide Premium subscription, a phone number verified with a texted code, the call turned on, and the hours and the low threshold set there. Call on signal loss also rings when no reading arrives for the time you set. Phones silence unknown callers overnight, so tap Add caller to Contacts and make the Glide number an Emergency Bypass contact. Then tap Send a test call to check the whole path.
Signing out or deleting the app does not stop the calls. The call is a setting on Glide's server. To stop it, turn off Wake-up call in Settings → Alerts.
"Ask to bolus" or "Ask to treat low" wasn't delivered
These are for followers: hold the Carbify button and slide to one of them. They go to the profile owner's phone. If Glide says "Not delivered", the owner has no signed-in phone with Glide's notifications on.
Carb estimates from photos look wrong
They are estimates produced by an AI model and they can be wrong (how often, measured). Always review the number before logging or dosing. You can edit any estimate before saving it, refine it in words ("only half the rice"), or enter carbs by hand and skip the estimator.
Subscription & billing
Glide Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store ($7.99/month or $59.99/year, with a two-week free trial for new subscribers). One subscription covers everyone on the profile, the owner and every follower. Live glucose, logging and editing by hand, Replay, the on-device forecast, banner notifications, followers and nightstand mode are free and stay free. Premium adds the carb estimate from a photo or a barcode, My Lab, and the wake-up call.
Manage or cancel any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Apple handles cancellation, not us. If you cancel during the trial you aren't charged. Refund requests also go through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. Switched devices or Apple IDs and lost access? Tap Restore Purchases on the Glide paywall.
Account & data
You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app: Settings → Delete your account. If you own the monitored profile, deleting your account also deletes that profile's glucose history and removes access for everyone following it. This cannot be undone.
Signing out removes the profile's data from that phone. Changes that haven't uploaded yet (for example, a dose logged offline) are discarded, and Glide tells you how many before you confirm.
What we collect and why is described in the Privacy Policy. Your use of the app is governed by the Terms of Service.
